I had an awesome time this past weekend. Drove up Friday night and slept at the track in my car due to miscommunications. Still slept better than I had for a while.
Saturday was a lot of fun. Two good classroom sessions and three 25 minutes sessions on track. Faith felt incredible on track and never once gave me any signs of faltering. HPDE 1 had a lot of very fast cars and b00st abound. Seemed like almost everybody that I got a point-by from thought that I was a TT, so they didn't want to let off the throttle so I could get by. This resulted in a few hairy entrances into turns, but overall it all turned out very well. Sunday was excellent as well, and got passed off to drive solo after the first session. Was very nervous going out on track alone at first, but after about 5 minutes out there, I felt great and was able to concentrate on what my instructor wanted me to do. As well as getting my own driver time, I got a bunch of time in the passenger seat, which I know helped out a whole lot in preparing for the track and learning the line. The events on Saturday looked like fun, unfortuneately I missed out on most of them. I've got pics, and will hopefully get to post some of them up before too long.
