We AREN'T. This is the biggest problem concerning OG-student relations. Most of you seem to think that we are only recruiting ricers etc and/or that we are fostering such behavior. NOT AT ALL. The new people in the club are real car people. They really care about cars and they aren't in it for the image. Please read my earlier posts about new people and the track, I think I explained everything pretty well before. New people aren't going to be motivated if they are put-down before they even join. Theres a HELL of a lot between a hardcore track enthusiast and someone who takes an interest in rollin' in their caddy on dubs. Thats what we are currently. We're in between, we're fine with that, but we ARE doing our best to get people to lean towards the track. Please, I invite everyone to come to a meeting to see what is really going on. Man this is ridiculous, lets all stop posting in this trhead for a while or never again
I still want to know what MOTORSPORTS you enjoy. This isn' Madison Car Club, this is Madison MOTORSPORTS. You want a car club, go start one.
Oh and RJ, horses are MUCH more expensive than OUR cars (not ALL race cars, but at our level, more expensive). A lady that use to b in my office has a daugher that's been into horses since she was 8 and now's a Freshman in college, to hear how much those damn tall dogs cost to begin with not to mention all the gear/crap you need to compete + keeping them fed/healthy :head-a-splode: She was spending about 2x as much as I was spending on the mustang.
