Are what you guys really trying to accomplish here is to let anyone be in the club, but the officers should be actively pursuing some form of motorsports - be it autox, track days, drag racing, karting, etc? That seems to be what I'm getting out of it. I know I personally have never been to anything other than a dragstrip, and only to one autocross to watch...but I still had a good time in the club - and once I am on my feet a little more, I expect to break into the hobby a bit more, when it's more affordable for me, and I have a better place for all the prep-work that has to take place to go to a track. I think that's the biggest thing the people at JMU are lacking. First, they only have one car there, and they can't have it torn apart in the parking lot of P-run for two or three days while they're trying to get something together, or waiting on a part to come in so they can make it to a track day. Of course, flagging and setup, and whatever else can still be done, or just going to watch for the fun of it - but I dont think anyone can blame anyone for not actually participating in whatever motorsport - it's just too much of a pain in the ass to prepare, or worse, have to fix something when you broke it sliding into a curb at an autox or something.
