There is nothing such as overprepared but you are freaking out a little too much for an autox. I checked my lugs and a quick check under the hood and went to autox. Bring some spare coolant, a little bit of oil if your car leaks it, DEFINITELY an air gauge and compressor. I dont see why youll need a jack unless your changing wheels, and unless your car breaks a shit ton, I 99% of the time did not bring tools. Keep in mind, I did 20-30 autoxs and never ever had a problem except blowing up my rear end (which had been caused by never changing fluid, so thats a huge reminder, change fluids, and check ALL your fluids, including your diff and transmission before heading out). If I had checked that rear diff, it would have been a different story, wouldnt have had to wait for 4 weeks for custom bushings and the new diff, and the money spent on it. A mistake I will not repeat again.
Now with cold weather and street tires along with Verona, dont worry too much about tire temps and overheating, and to be honest, dont even care about times. Its harsh, but the verona autox is a joke, I was awd and I had the back end out the whole time, there is so much gravel out there, dont get frustrated just have fun.
Bring glasses, water, and a hat. Also bring sunscreen if you burn easily, and if you can, bring a portable chair and of course, dont show up in your sandels, bring real comfy shoes along with a sweater.
Do you have a helmet? Are you willing to borrow a helmet? How bout driving gloves?
Make sure your tire pressure are HIGH. somewhere in the 42 range satisfied me, although a lot of autoxers go higher. Warning: Do not run these type of pressures on the street, especially with a light rwd car.
