In tomorrow's Wall Street Journal: "DaimlerChrysler AG is moving forward with preparations to sell or spin off the Chrysler Group, raising the prospect that it could auction off the embattled U.S. unit in the coming months, two people close to the matter said."
I wouldn't be surprised if it is bought out by a private equity firm, and then completely re-vamped. It's going to be a bargin.
