The intake manifold is right above the exhaust (non-crossflow head) so there is not much worry about filter location on these cars. I mean colder air is better, but itÔÇÖs as hard to route the filter to a colder location as it is to do a front mount and still keep the A/C. I am however planning to build a series of heat and water channeling shields to help keep the engine bay dry and the heat away from the intake and intercooler. Right now my biggest problem is a boost leak I canÔÇÖt seem to find. I have hoses blow off all the time, but there is one leak that no matter what clamp I replace of what problem I fix I canÔÇÖt seem to find. The pressure drop on something like this wouldnÔÇÖt be 3-4psi at WOT would it?
On a side note: As far as me having to many projects, the ÔÇ£Brown wagonÔÇØ project has been cancelled as it will be going on to serve as a daily driver for a friend in need of a car.
