I got hit hard with some virus two nights ago, couldn't sleep because I was feverish / sweaty etc. Fortunately today and tomorrow are my days off, so I'm just going to rest up. I've been dating someone and she was planning on coming down to visit me on Wednesday (she lives in northern MD) but we may have to postpone if I'm not feeling better
Here's what I've been doing so far:
1) Tons of Advil. By tons I probably took about 10-12 yesterday just to stop the shaking and muscle aches. I'm not a retard, I don't take like 5 at once, but that is spaced out over the course of probably 16 hours. This is literally the only way I can stay awake without feeling like I want to die.
2) Tons of water. I drink water constantly when I'm sick in the hopes of flushing my system. It's good to stay hydrated when your body is weak too.
3) 1 daily vitamin. The Vitamin C and other good stuff in those helps my body fight this plague.
4) Secret weapon: Zinc lozenges. Cold Eeze, etc. These are so money, they noticeably speed up the recovery process, as long as you don't OD on them.
Any other ideas? Do any of you guys have a home remedy or otherwise to help me recover? Thanks in advance 8)
