This took me about 2 minutes:

"the SVT is most definitely an interference engine. in fact, the pistons only have valve reliefs for the intake valves...and those reliefs aren't very deep at all"

"Well my timing belt slipped a tooth or something and now i have 8 broken valves and 8 bent valves. Two dented valve seats, a cracked head, and two pistons which are dented as well"
Still convinced?
There seems to be some misinformation out there, because the Zetec is non-interference and apparently the SVT is interference. If you look up the Gates .pdf document on Timing Belt intervals it suggests 120,000mi while other documents say 60,000mi. I am at 60,1xxmi.
A guy from focusfanatics said:
"I called SVT on this subject awhile back. As stated, regular Zetec is non interference, and SVT Zetec is interference. The Guy at SVT recommended 100,000 mile belt change, but the printed material I have seen on the subject is non SVT specific and says 120,000. I suspect the SVT guy is just being conservative, and I tend to agree due to the rarity of the parts that are at risk. I doubt I will reach 200,000 on the car the way I drive, so it's a one time deal for me whenever I do it."
I think SVT knows what they are talking about, but too bad they are defunct currently.
