I came home this weekend to pick up my motorcycle. Tommorow morning I need to ride it back down. I was thinking about taking a bit more scenic route then the standard 66 to 81. The only catch is I don't want to add more then about an hour or so to ride time (normal is 4 hours, so about 5. 6 at the absolute most). Can anyone suggest a route?

Hrmm. Rt 29s is a beautiful road now, and 65mph. It's great in a car, at least. Then hit 460e all the way to roanoke - can then bypass roanoke, or keep on it, take 460 up christiansburg mountain..etc etc
oh yeah, and 29 has like NO traffic

running down 11 sucks except for the stretch between lexington and roanoke - the rest has a ton of lights
