spring yard work, ah the fun :(

i've been busy. boy have i been busy.

short version is....

our place was the model unit....current neighbor was doing landscaping....lots of landscaping. he built his yard up to make it tiered. in the process, it extended over into what is now our yard. we said it was fine the first year, we were new there and wasn't a big deal, but this year we were starting our own stuff. so i've embarked on the mission to reclaim our space. we are putting in a fence, so i needed to get it taken care of. also, in one of the pics below you'll see the drainage that is cut out of our yard making it a not so "proper yard" space. i'm extending that pipe and filling in. while also connecting the gutter in front to the one at the back and taking it out to where i'll be doing the drainage work.

wish i had the shots from last year when his crap was in full bloom. it was like Jurassic Park out back.

ROCKS!!! the f'n rocks were everywhere.....and he put them in....and that's not all of them.


piles of dirt from his crap. plus the drain. you can see the stake in foreground and the one in background, that is the fence line. see why i need to extend and fill. damn contractors!

ahh yes, his stepping stones. he felt he could use it as a path to his back patio. NOT ANYMORE BIATCH! the fence is going up through there...bwha ha ha ha ha!!

my goal is to have that perfect Scott's commercial grass to lay in one day. i'll be out there with aerator shoes on and everything................ok, maybe not, but i want a nice yard.

and very back breaking work indeed. as long as it's not raining, i'll be out there though. i figure, i can't spend money on a car/truck, so i got to have some fun some how.
