We havent even decided where we're going yet.
There will be cars on all the roads EVERYWHERE. The road I was talking about above was skyline. If you want to get particular.

We went out north of leesburg where there was light traffic until we crossed over the Potomac and then there were hardly any cars around until we got back to Route 7 on the way back into Leesburg.

Well there you go. Cars on 7.

The point that RJ's trying to make is that on the roads he, or any of us, are most likely to make a mistake that will result in an off there were few to no cars around... none within any kind of risk zone. If a rider augers in 'round a blind bend the last thing he wants is to get plowed over by an errant cager.
Skyline's a really, really bad place to go if you want to avoid
a) angry and/or terrible cage operators
b) cops
The end game here is that if 4 wheelers are going to travel with us that they be responsible folks, not hot shoes and fathers of jackassery. I'm sure that with most MM NOVA folks this isn't an issue - I'd never have a problem with Evan, G, or Mike following me around - but the more we make it seem that this is an open invitation so that somebody's "friend" and "friend's friend" can just show up the more we're opening ourselves up to a big unknown variable.
I hope this clears up a few things.

What kind of knife did you use to split hairs like that?
I dont mind being around other cars driving around town, on the highway, etc. But out in the sticks in a more scenic area the roads are slower, 2-lane, lots of turns and elevation. Its a different environment and there's a lot to watch out for.

i'm late to this...i'm up for riding saturday sometime during the day would be awesome. Is there a set time or place to meet? i say meet someplace in the western region of ffx so we can easily get out west.
what's the dilly?
I thnk RJ's meeting John for a ride on Saturday. I can't ride until 3:30 because of work that day. I think Paul and I are riding tomorrow, though (Friday). Hopefully RJ, too.

I think RJ is wrong. I really don't think I'll be able to come up until Sunday morning - too much to do down here Saturday during the day, and I don't feel like riding up to NoVA at night.
My two feet.
booooo.
well i want to ride saturday somewhere out westerly, but not 211.

Or, since we all kick ass and are riding tomorrow then take off tomorrow and work Saturday.
