VIR prep day
#1
The following days would make great wrench days to get our cars ready and do the last minute shit to be done.
Saturday, is, well its a saturday and what better way than a few beers and some bench racing mixed with some wrenching.
Tuesday is an assessment day next week, so many of us won't really be up to anything.
Wednesday appears to be a good day for some just because of class schedules.
Post up your thoughts and ideas, just keep in mind that the weather really rules this plan. Also list up what you still gotta do before we can roll out.

I'll probably be wrenching on all of those days... Not in the 'burg, mind you, but still wrenching. Anyone who finds themselves in the C-ville area is of course always welcome to drop by...

Here's my list:
- reattach IC brackets on passenger side
- reattach fender liners
- ghetto fab an engine shield for under the car (if I have time)
- finish PTU relocation
- compression test
- install new wheel studs, spacers -OR- frantically put it all back to stock if the new stuff isn't here on time
- bleed brakes again, install new brake pads, bed them in
- remove AIV tubes from mid-pipes, install plugs -OR- JBWeld the holes closed...
- oil change
- clean up PS leak on driver's side (not gonna repair yet, it ain't leaking much...)
- double check upper control arms on front (make sure I didn't put them in upside down)
- re-torque tension rods, lower control arms
- alignment
- install AshSpec ECU, without boost jets (to lean things out after removing the AIV system...)
- drive the piss out of the car for a couple of days to make sure...

Trans, Diff, brake fluids and fuel filter on the german sled.... put stock seats back in the integra and took it out for a while and got an estimate+appointment to get that dent pulled out. Organized and cleaned out the garage. Tomorrow, I'm not doing shit.

Then maybe you can wait until after VIR, because a week before an event isn't a good time to ask for help on a car that isn't going to the track. Did you look at the list some of these people have for their cars? Gesh, does nobody leave there car in one piece during the off season Smile.

What else are we supposed to do while we are foaming at the mouth playing GT3 and F355?

Hell, I cant even keep the same car once the off season rolls around Wink

Me and Maeng got the stuff listed above done today... Drove it around for half an hour - still have some funky stuff going on with the driver's side front wheel/caliper assembly making a thumping noise *after* a hard stop, but only for about 20 seconds.. Hard to repeat it. The new pads and rotors are AWESOME. Makes your eyeballs pop out to step on the brakes. Now the tires are definitely the limiting factor. Also reconnected a vacuum line that had come off, and located what looks to be a minor oil leak on the passenger side exhaust valve cover seal... Argh. That can wait though.
