Noticed this happening recently. If I let go of the handlebars while riding, about 2 seconds afterwords the front starts to wobble back and forth, first slowly, and it speeds up. Any idea's on what to look for?

its just like letting go of the handle bars on a bike... except your usually moving much faster...
could it be the front fork atatchment to the frame? i've never really looked at it... could a bushing/bearing be bad... the upper body weight could nullify the play in it when your hands are on the bars? just a thought.

I'd suggest either your wheel is out of balance, or more likely, the front forks are out of alignment. Both easy fixes.

how old is the bike? i wouldnt see the front forks or tire out of balance unless you are dropping lots of wheelies.

I agree. As often as bikes are laid down, loaded improperly, whathave you, I think it's still a viable option.

Bike is a 94. It's never been droped while moving, and I don't do wheelies. I think im going to get the front wheel balanced.
