I always miss it for a while when I have new PMs because I dont get the email notifications. Any way you can make the "new messages" thing turn red, or flash or some shit to make it more noticeable?

Yeah, the pop-up works for me in Firefox on WinXP (work PC) and my Mac with Safari (with pop-up blocker enabled).
Make sure you get the emails, too. A few people on here don't have current email addy's registered with the forum and the emails bounce.
