Attention speed junkies,
WKA (World Karting Association) is having their Road Racing series event at VIR the weekend of July 30-Aug 1. Yes this is Friday through Sunday. Friday is a day long practice session followed by races run all day Sat and Sun. My dad and I plan to go to this regardless if we race or not so I will be there!!
I think this would be a grand opportunity for some you to get your foot in the door or perhaps get your first laps around a track in a go-kart. You can always come down for the day or camp out/stay at a hotel and stay the whole weekend. It's a different approach to racing and bring your car....cause in the chance that it rains-cars go out on the track to dry it off
Oh and side note, the karts run on half of the track, the other half is usually motorcyles races, which can be fun to spectate! As soon as I know how much pit passes are I will let you know but it's usually not too bad.
