you can take the pads back off once you bed them in and they are cool. the bedding process also helps the pad material as well as form the third layer between pad and rotor. when putting the pads back on before your sessions, be sure to drive around a bit to form that third layer again though.

well, the pads need to bed to new rotors. if you change pads OR rotors, bedding needs to occur.

great time today and great turn-out. thanks to all for the help. seems like most of us accomplished everything we were going for and there were no real problems this time.

I bedded in the pads and WOW do they stop now. Summit here I come!

nice turnout, we got alot done. i learned how to change brake pads today, it was pretty sweet. it's super easy too, which was a great surprise. i swapped out my stock front pads for HP+'s.....after bedding them in here are my thoughts:

pro:
-stops decent cold, even better hot
-they love heat...i used to fear being able to smell my brakes, now its just a sign that the fun is getting started
-pedal feel is basically retained

cons:
-loud
-as
-hell

seriously, when i'm using my brakes at ANY speed below 15mph i might as well just lay on my horn, thats how loud they squeel. small forest mammals run for cover, children laugh and point, and old people cry. i went to McD's and it got to the point where i just started using my e-brake to stop me in the stop and go traffic in the line at the drive through so i didn't have to hear the noise. meanwhile, jay has the HP+'s on every corner of his car and it's near silent. :evil:

my shizzle is loud and seems to stop good. Gonna do a quick run-through to make sure nothing has loosened up next weekend, I'd recommend the same for you guys if you have the chance too.
