+Juan. so excited though.
OK registering online-- can someone run me through the specifics of registering?
Important that I put novice? Car class? SCCA region? What matters? Thanks--
Novice is not that important, it's cool because they class you with other people in the novice class of the day so you can see where you stand against them.
Class for us in stock form is D-stock, if you do the up and down pipe by then you'll have to run STX.
SCCA region is BRR 103
And btw you're getting yourself into quite a fun hobby to answer your first question 8)

Awesome-- thanks for the answers. Now I just have to decided if I want to install up/dp by then. Is running STX much different/will i get noticeably shat on?
2001 M5
2005 STi
It's not much different. You should be pretty competitive in either one really. No one is registered in either class yet so you might not get shat on at all! But STX just affects the equation they use to get your PAX time because of the mods. Either way is fine just remember to have fun

Its so close to Cville I'd be there if I weren't already going to be out of town. For those of you newbs getting into this, welcome to the slippery slope. Its all downhill from here. Just go there, have fun, listen to what more seasoned veterans have to say and have fun. Did I mention its fun?

Here's some vids for people thinking about signing up. At least you'll have an idea of what actually goes on and what it looks like if you've never been to an autox. The videos are from this same event last year- sorry the quality sucks but you get the idea.

Is this for spectators or ride-alongs to go along as well, or just those with cars? If not, I'll probably be in for riding along and checking out some autocross first hand.

This registration is just for those driving the event...spectating/riding along requires no pre-planning. You got a run with me if you want it
Alright I'll take you up on that. You and the 325 bimmer dude.
Act as a 3rd party judge of your driving... ahah jk.

I don't have a car, but I would love to come and spectate. They used to run autocross by me at RIR, and I was always intrigued. So I would love to come, check things out and have a great day watching a great sport!!
