Ten Kate Racing is currently taking the fight to the factory Ducati 999R's in British Superbike using the talents of Chris Vermeulen. Being the enterprising team that they are they are offering a street legal version of their Honda CBR1000RR to the public. It has most of the trick racing bits and it puts out 180 rwhp and supposedly can put down up to 200 rwhp.

Yeah really... I'm perfectly capable of killing myself on a dirtbike, or some 250cc beginner crotch rocket. Hell, I almost died yesterday in the car when some dumb bitch made a left turn directly in front of me as I was going home from work. Of course, she saw me coming about halfway through her turn, and SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES in the middle of my lane. I had to swerve off the road into a driveway and then onto the grass shoulder to avoid t-boning her. She deserved it though :evil: I'm sure that episode would've been even more pleasant on a bike...

send it back.... if i'm toating 1000ccs around i need more power then that.... the only thing it might have had on the smokey is torque.... i might weight in somewhere in the 190s but i dont wana really lug that fat ass bike around. though the difference in the R6 and the R1 is like 15lbs or something like that :wink:

You do realize that the R1 makes 180 at the crank where this bike is probably making between 200 and 220 at the crank. And the difference in weight is maybe 20 lbs between the street R1 and CBR1000RR but the race version is significantly lighter from what I hear.
