Are these any different than normal purolators? I was told to only use high end ones on the bimmer and the purolators fall appart. Think these are worth a shot?
the pureone purolators are the highend purolators. i have no scientific evidence to say they are good or bad, but lots of suby owners and miata owners run these same filters with no ill effects. i thought bimmers had that weird filter media swap thingy, and no "canister" that is replaced with each oil change.

(but not on the mazda, because those particular filters have a history of collapse)

I've heard FRAM filters are really really bad, but I've always heard good things about the PureOne filters. I ran the standard Purolators in both of my work trucks, and Purolator / PureOne in the old WRX, the old STi and my current car.
