Oh wow, yes please give us a link or something. We'll have an image gallery up this weekend so we can make a section for them. Hunter is talking with PTG right now trying to set up a tour... Did they let you touch the Mclaren?

Definitely post more pics! Did they have anything interesting to say? I know the PTG effort is going to Grand Am this year but I've heard there will be a few PTG build M3's in World Challenge GT.
And if we can get a trip to PTG I may have to skip out of work on a late night flight...
OHHHH! Hunter you have to get us a tour there.

So, because I have't ever met the guys before, do you think it would be a better idea to send a letter through the mail along with some information on the club, or should I just go ahead and send the email.
Go up in person! I think e-mail is fine, it is certainly quicker.

I believe in person would be a lot better, because its not very easy to get a tour through this facility, correct?

Yes I got to touch the Mclaren We talked to an engine builder and Tom's son for a couple hours after everyone else left. We talked about everything in the shop from the 1200bhp 320 race car to the mclaren to the le mans car. We exhanged emails with the people we talked to and were told that we were welcome to come back and hang out. I will definitly be taking them up on this offer!!!

It was cool to hear Tom speak. I only remember a little, but I think he said they're going to be going back and forth between 3.2 and 3.4L S54 engines to see what works. Most of the World Challenge cars have been sold off already, but some of the buyers were interested in running them there also. The drivers this year will be Bill Auberlen, Boris Said, Justin Marks, and Joey Hand. He said that last year, they used the same motors for the entire season with the exception of Auberlen's - because he is 'aggressive', his needed a rebuild.
That's all I remember - there was a lot to take in!
As for the CSL, it may have had some Alpina body parts (I'm pretty sure the 2002 had at least Alpina flares), but I think that front airdam is a one-off or something. I don't remember seeing it on any Alpina racers.

Speaking of the BMW V12 LMP:
I bought it at the LA Auto Show and figured it could be given away as a prize at some future MM event. GT3 battle? Karting fastest lap? Car show random/raffle prize?
Oh yeah - I have them in 2272x1704 if anyone wants.
