Just wondering if anyone knew of a business that rents out trailers -- this is for a the civic so I'd imagine a 16ft one would be ok. I'd like to stay away from Uhaul as I've heard horror stories of their reservations, condition of trailers.
Think there's a place in gainesville that does it - but ive also rented a uhaul before with no problems

I've heard mixed things about the u-haul trailers -- but mainly concerned with the actual availability of the trailer.. Seems the crackheads that work there can't ever get that shit straight when you reserve one.
Derek -- you happen to know the name of the place?
$30 bucks and you can borrow mine

That would be awesome -- but I'm sure you're gonna be using the trailer when I want to use it... No more driving the Civic to the track for this guy (hopefully).
Evan -- you still have your trailer? Might as well make some rental $$ instead of letting it sit 8)

That is where I bought my trailer. But ouch, thatll get expensive quick. I do 9 track weekends at least a year...$900 if you were to pick up saturday morning.....$1350 if you picked up friday night. I bought mine brand new for 1900... And I have multiple buyers at $1700 after using it for a year. $20 in grease and seals. Tires every 2 years at $300. Just saying, if you plan on tracking a lot you may just want to look into buying....

navin Wrote:I haven't quite weighed out the differences between renting/buying -- What about registration? I also would have to pay a place to store the trailer since my HOA is dicks.
I don't think I'll be doing 9 track weekends, but would like to up the ante to some different tracks in the future. Also, hoping the new DD will double as a place to crash instead of splitting a room with Maeng
There are places to leave it, and then get trailer insurance. I leave mine currently in tysons behind Bed Bath and Beyond. Registration is once...and never again....... Lifetime plates for $120.

Good points -- I think this is just for the immediate time, maybe if a trailer pops up for a decent price locally I'll consider purchasing. Def. dont want to buy brand new right now.
I still have my trailer, but its at summit.
