Garrett Hughes, freshman this year, new to club!

Hey whatsup everyone..I've met and introduced myself to alot of you guys but anyways.
Onto about me. The names Garrett Hughes, I'm from fredericksburg, va area (spotsylvania if you know) I originally got into cars as soon as i got my license. At the time i was driving my parents 2010 scion tc and kept trying to convince them to let me paint the wheels and they wouldn't go for it. So in the long run they agreed to sell the car. Unfortunately i totaled the car almost right after we put it up for sale:

anyway, so a month after that my parents told me and my brother that they were divorcing etc etc.. So we got the money from the totaled tc. I immediately went on the hunt for a car (i hate being carless). I wanted a honda but not a typical one, i wanted a newer one, not the same old same old. I was more concerned with form> function back then but i ended up getting a stock 2004 civic si. I did everything to that car, there was no shopwork. Well basically i started off with minor bolt on's etc. I got into motorwork. I decided stage 3 cams would be nice to my engine. Well my engine didnt really like that and since my timing was off, my head blew. I spend all of the winter of 2010 to fix that. I got it back and running and now i started to get into the whole function aspect. I got tein ss coilovers and some bbs's. To add to that i got 2 brides and gutted the back threw a harness bar in it, and really wanted to take it autoxing but never got the chance. Anyway i sold tha 2 months ago.. Here is my new car: a 2002 subaru wrx with 59k miles and ticking. I go over the goodies in this in my members ride thread Big Grin

i always thought the EP's were pretty cool even though they're like little minivans.

if this keeps up the Subaru legion may actually start to threaten the reign of the M3/Miata kingdom

Yeah, if they're done up right, I like 'em. Hatches are cool.

I'm doing an A3 swap in to a crx... but at some point i'll need a real daily driver. I think the mini odessey is growing on me. especially when i get a motor for under $500 and a trans for $600. Smile

Nice job with the TC, that's how I got into motorsports too. After wrecking the same car twice, it gets tiring!
