SM Possibly for sale?
#1
I heard from a little birdie that the retired NASA-MA SM Champion from 2006 MAY be considering selling his SM. It is updated with current logbooks for SCCA and NASA. Its also getting some WWR Speed Secrets installed this week. See it at Summit Point this weekend at Garage #3 or possibly on the track Friday-Sunday. The owner might consider a good offer on this speedster.

Not trying to start any rumors, but if you are in the market for a quality 1.8 SM (supposedly THE CAR to have now), you might want to make time to see it or talk to me....

I have personally chased this car around the track many times and my car once held the NASA-MA track record at SPMP and VIR for SM (still may?!?). This is a quality car

FWIW, I was able to take this car out for a few laps this weekend. With a little love applied to the driver's fender (or a new fender, which I have in the garage at Summit), this car is easily a podium car. The seat is amazing! Transmission is smooth. I hear a few cans of "Universal Gold" come with the car.......

It is available for rent for events at Summit Point and VIR. It has Logbooks for both NASA and SCCA. It also has a passenger seat and I have a spare harness for that seat.

FYI, This car is fast! Turned a 1:28.7 in Saturday's race! Tied for the Pole Position with a 99 that was illegally running without a restrictor plate! Should have been on the Pole! Still Won the race with THE FASTEST RACE LAP! All this is on a repatched track that has many problems. This is an awsome car, no-one would be upset owning this. It will come with a new LF Fender (damaged by owner - not this weekend's driver) .

Weekend Warrior Racing made a few changes on this car and they obviously proved worthwhile. Anyone wanting to test it out can rent it and come out for one of our Test Days (assuming you have a comp license). It will also be available for rent on Race Weekends for racing and HPDE (comes with a passenger seat).

Lots of people say that the drivers and cars that race NASA are not up to speed with the drivers and cars that race SCCA. Well, I turned a 1:28.7 in this car without any drafting help. The last SCCA race at Summit there were only 2 cars that were able to get down to the 1:28.xx times. All the others were in the low 29s. This is a very good car.

I would like to keep it around the garage at Summit and use it as a spare, but I think the owner would eventually get tired of me winning races in HIS car. If you know of anyone looking a quality 1.8 SM, this is a great car to start and win with!
