I'm taking a proposal writing class this semester, and my project for the class is to propose that MM be allowed to host their own autcrosses on or near campus.
I've heard rumors that at one point MM was allowed to in the convocation lot, but plumbing the archives of the forum gets me nothing. Did we ever do that back in the day?

AHAHA. Anyone know how, when and why they shut it down. The people at the Student Activities and Involvement Board are ignoring me. Probably not a good sign. I'm trying to find the specific policies related to it so I can suggest revision or show how they fit.

No one "shut it down"
We did it once, and we all agreed that it probably wasnt the best idea. There arent any lots on campus that have the kind of room that is really needed.

Well that's sort of good to know.
I either need to find a better venue on campus or one immediately off then I guess. I wonder what the hillside lot looks like on a sunday morning.

If there's anything on campus the lot would have to be completely cleared and thats going to be a difficult thing when school is in session. If there are any lots nearby off campus that you can use, look into those first - dont underestimate the size of the lot that you'll need, convo looks like it would be big enough at first but its not even close.
