well the car was seized by ICE... not by the EPA... anyway... this is what happens when they go digging around looking for stolen cars, they often dig up issues like this one and trust me, they have the money and man power to find stuff.

I feel so much safer now, what with that trailer queen being off of the showroom floors.

so wait...they seized it because you can't OWN the thing in the US? that doesn't make sense...

if it was pulled over on the highway that's one thing, but they seized the car in a show room. i'm sure there are a lot of collectibles that are not road legal. perhaps they want to go raid all the collectors in the US...'tards...

Welllllllll...there is a procedure to follow if you want your car (that isn't legal to operate on US roads) to be in a museum or race track or whatever. These guys clearly didn't follow it.

I won't disagree that the law is stupid, nor that the application in this case is necessarily just. But we are purported to live in a democracy, so if you want the law changed...write your congress critter.

I'm sorta with Rex, it's lame what the govt did, but if they had taken a little more time and followed some regulations which prolly weren't too hard to adhere too, they would have been fine.
