I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...
ugh this list makes me
there's like a thousand E30s on here. Apparently combined a 325 was just 18MPG.
And an E30 M3?!
A 2002 X5?
Standouts to me however are the couple of E30 318s that are listed as 22MPG combined....
You know, there's a lot of "over 18MPG combined" cars on this list :dunno: Come on, a CRX? I'd like to know how those were approved. And what is with the expensive cars like the Aston? And there's plenty of jags... I thought these had to be cars people were actually driving, not ones out of a junkyard.

all the 2008 model almost anythings.... most of them have to be worth more than $4500...
heh that is funny about the Maserati, but hey, if he couldn't sell it for more.... I guess it was a pile!
So I missed something at the top that explains many of my questions
"As submitted, not necessarily reviewed or approved"
So yeah, some dealers were morons (surprise), but some of this stuff is bound to get rejected.

come to think of it... they probably took them as "cash for clunkers", but are then planning to sell or auction them off b/c they're worth more than the $4500...
atleast i would hope so from a business perspective of the dealers - not a bad move as the stupidity falls on the customer giving those cars/trucks away
Uh, good riddance to the Biturbos if you ask me.

We did 38 clunkers at work, and most of them were turds, but we did have a 750il turned in as a clunker, I would like to have had that car.
I did make a bunch of money scavenging parts; I took 5 cd players, an amp, 3 sets of speakers and some aftermarket tow assemblies...sold them all on craigslist.

It has to be a fucking typo, but theres a 1987 ASC GNX listed, which really means buick GNX, which means potentially a $100k car
lets hope it was totalled and barely running

Meh. We only did 4 clunkers here. Two of them were actually nice vehicles and would have made a low income family very happy. A spotless 87 Chevy Astro converstion, and a 88 Ford Aerostar LWB with new tires on it. We got paid for all of ours and its over!

That car was mentioned on another site. What makes it $100K versus a regular GNX?

No doubt...I wonder how many were traded in and the paperwork never even submitted. I doubt many owners are going back to make sure there car was "clunked".

GNX is not a GN.. GNX were numbered to 547, mclaren did the turbos, intercooler, reflash i think. Seen them on ebay for around 80 - 100. They were basically the same as a GN, except they had fender vents, an extra 25ish HP i think
A regular GN might go for 20 - 40 in mint condition
