Seeking IT oriented help(pretty newb stuff)
#1
hey guys whats up, like i said before im pretty newb at these sorts of things, but here's my situation. I needed to make it so that these promo emails were dynamic and could be changed with a web interface i designed. Everything works all cool, im using CDO that runs daily but not everyone gets an email thats on the list.

Problem: CDO format uses plain text and html in the email message. I have a 2 columns in my table that hold this information (think varchar(4000)). The html information is held in the table and that displays just fine in the emails ive been sending to myself. Now here's my problem, for the life of me I can't get any formatting to work on the plain text. It's just one long line of text no breaks or anything.

Tried: i tried hard coding all the appropriate double quotes and VBCrLf. That just printed exactly what i had in the table out onto the plain text, no line breaks happened. My next approach was to use my own CR(#newline#) and try a replace. This yielded the same results as hard coding everything. Also tried using an "image" as the data type but that was just worthless

I'm stuck and i know there's some easy little trick so the top part of my promo emails isnt all jumbled together (ive gotten emails like this and always wondered why it was all fucked up). Any and all help is appreciated, I know someone has the answer out there, im just too newb and all my internet trawling hasnt paid off yet.
