Craftsman 1/2" Air Impact Wrench - $19.99

I know a lot of people here read/feed Slickdeals but thought someone might benefit. I don't own this brand but the reviews seem reasonable. Even if you keep it as a backup and it works for a year, it's hard to beat the price.

Sears has the Craftsman 1/2" Air Impact Wrench for $19.99 (see lower price when you add to your cart [and then view cart]). Choose in-store pick-up to save on shipping, otherwise it's $7.50.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

That is the same impact that comes with the compressor packages, don't waste your money. I routinely had to lower the car back to the ground to break the lugs, then raise it back up and use the impact to spin them off. It was a real PITA. It wore out quickly too.

Then Alison bought me an IR Thundergun. That thing rocks.

Ingersoll is the way to go, I have an Ingersoll 2135 that I've had for 2 years (though the trigger did break after busting off a few tens of thousands of lug nuts, but I fixed it) and I also have a Matco 1769Q which is the same gun, only a little quieter and a hundred dollars more.

A good choice though, for most DIYers, is an Ingersoll 231C, they usually run about $100-130, but they are well worth the money.
