Miata peoples - Tranny and Diff fluid reccomendations
#1
What do you guys recommend for the manual tranny and diff fluid in a Miata? It's Alisons 1995.

I'd like something that can be purchased locally if possible. I'm not sure if it has a limited slip, so please provide suggestions for both.

Also, I put Royal Purple in it last week, and it has stopped ticking. I tried every brand synthetic and RP did the trick. Interesting?

Thanks!
Peter

I usually use redline in the tranny but I went with the GM synchromesh this time around. I'll probably try some other stuff but redline is tried and true.

Dont know much about curing lifter tick with oil, I've got solid lifters

Thanks guys. I ordered the Redline stuff.

Interestingly Seafoam did cure the tick for about two months, then it returned. At the time, though, I was not putting synthetic oil in it.
