Caddy and teh XLR

Just saw one today, looked pretty damn good so I did some more research...

4.6L V8
320hp
310lb-ft
0-60 in high 5s
1/4 in 14.3
Retractable Hard Top

Pretty bling bling starting at 76k, but what has gotten in to Cadillac? Have they gotten a new head honcho or something? They're making some pretty sweet cars. I just wish the rest of GM would follow suit...

good lawwwd... I didn't realize those were going to be so expensive! I think I'd go for a Viper instead. M5? I wonder what else it's supposed to "compete" with? Obviously not a lot of performance for the $$, and it seems if you wanted luxury, a Mercedes or BMW would be a much better buy. If the retractable hardtop's your bag, wouldn't the SLK32 AMG be the way to go? Cheaper, more reliable, faster, more luxurious.... so who's this for? Seems like if I wanted a big, convertable, fairly powerful, overpriced, american car, didn't the Thunderbird already fill the bill? Aparently it wasn't nearly overpriced enough.

Yeah, definitely overpriced, but a cool car coming from Caddy FOSHO!

I checked one out in town the other day. The owner said it was pretty quick. But when you want to put the top down, you can't really have anything in the back. There is a divider and if you go in front of it, you can't put the top down. When he started it and left it wasn't loud at all. Very very quiet.
