It doesn't really have a backseat, but what about an S2000? Was just looking through Mike's thread and thought about that. Since it's a Honda I'd imagine the long term maintenance is a little easier / cheaper than a BMW, etc.

Older guys might not want the sk2's sporty suspension. My coworker bought his daughter's s2k during a mid-life crisis and has been bitching about the stiff suspension for the past 6 months.

You are both morons. It has nothing to do with the car itself, its all about the attitude. If you drive a convertible (especially a cheaper one like a Sebring) and you think you are the shit, of course you are going to get made fun of. Because the Sebring is an affordable convertible you see alot more people with them, thus more opportunities for such a driver to be an assclap. As for crappiest car, thats up to interpretation. I hate mine (from an enthusiast standpoint it is not as "fun" to drive as others). But it gets me where I want to go...and the fuckin top still comes off. Its like our service writer said "Its a fuckin Chrysler....its not meant to handle! Its supposed to be a decent daily car that drops the top in the summer time." He is exactly right. Might I ad at 90,000 miles I have had no problems out of it, and I know the previous owner so I can say that for her as well.

So I would say if he is looking for something that will serve him as a decent all around convertible for year round use, few things rival the Sebring for reliability, functionality, and value. 4 seats, proven and reliable top design, good water management, decent trunk, and 20/26 I think was the fuel economy my sticker says.

You forgot one adjective: ugliness

+1 on Andy's sentiments

I think the S2k would be a blast to own, but I couldn't DD it because of the suspension. I prefer comfy pigs.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
