Little pet peeve of mine I thought I'd bring up, one day the forum just stopped remembering my logon info. About half the time I visit the forum, it doesn't remember me, and I have to log back in again. I'll check the "remember me" box to no avail. On top of that, it'll usually not show any "new posts" icons after I log in, so I don't know what has happened since I last checked without going through everything.
I know this has started happening to a few other people. I haven't touched my browser settings at all, so this happened without my doing. Whatever cookies are set at now or whatever, they were months ago when this didn't happen.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks and much appreciated :dunno:
Edit: I just noticed theres a thread about this above, but like I said I haven't done anything to the cookies, is this problem back?
No, you just own a gay mac - quit looking at porn.

It only remembers me when I come in from my e-mail...it never does if I just go to MM. About half the time it will remember me if I let the site load all the way when I come into explorer...MM/forum is my homepage.

I used to have a hard time getting 'remembered' using the traditional logon style. I started logging in through the 'check your PM's' route and never had any more problems.

I used to have that problem when I bookmarked just the forum index. I changed my bookmark to include a session ID (fake example below) and haven't had a problem since.

It shows up after you log into the site and are redirected back to the main page.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
I don't have the problem anymore... phpbb doesn't use normal php sessions so I don't know what to do. I'm not digging through that ish either.
On minimal inspection everything looks good. The site's domain is set to mmsports.org, so if you normally log in to www.mmsports.org/forum try going to mmsports.org/forum and see if it fixes your issue. Also, use the "log in" button on the main forum page.
I don't seem to have any issues with either under WinXP/Firefox 2.0.0.9 or Red Hat Linux/Firefox v1.5.0.7
