"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

I care because VIR-N is my favorite track and I was planning on running that race.
It's really quite sad there are only 3 tracks/configs.

Nope.
I'll probably do an instructor clinic at VIR and 2 Summit Races.
The other Summit dates I'll likely do DE/instruct.

So... all the hassle of going to the track and working on the car and no benefit of racing? Sounds counter-productive.

The hassle is going out of town to places like CMP.
I want no pressure/consequence practice time to work on skillz that clearly need work. Doing DE and instructing will allow me to do that, for free.
win/win

Well I think Im going to come down and try to drive in the February and March Circuitcross events. There's a new FSAE competition this year that will be held at VIR on the patriot course, so I think I should try to get down there and drive it a few times to give us a little bit of a leg up.
I'll see you bitches there.

Why no VIR-N and Shen? I get Shen's paddock blows especially for NASA's huge crowds but still...
*edit* I wonder if switching from VIR-N to VIR-F has something to do with UTCC?
Two feet.

yeah, matt said they talked about ditching CMP and replacing it with shen. oh well. shen's paddock isnt that bad if you use the gravel lot on the other side of the bridge.
i think the change from vir-n to vir-f is so they can use the patriot course to sell a circuitcross.

It's my understanding that VIR is requiring clubs to rent the whole track every weekend. If NASA is required to rent the whole thing, the only way they can really make it work well is by doing Full and Patriot.
I guess they could sub-let the south course to like a bike group or something but that's probably far more effort than anyone cares to put out.
