Yes it does. I promise you they have a spring compressor that will work on a "honda". Nothing magic about a honda.

i went there that had this HUGE cast piece of crap. The hooks on it are so big they don't fit inbetween the coils. Looks like it would work great, on a big car or truck.

I'll check the one at advanced see if its any different.

As seen in the pics below...

The autozone one is made of cast, thus making the hooks larger. When I've tried to use them in the past it was very hard to get it to fit in between the coils of the spring. It ended up in a very funky position where the spring was alittle crooked making it even harder to assemble it back together.

When I worked at Advance, we definitely had more than one style of spring compressor available.

But hey man, if you want to make more work for yourself, don't let me stand in your way.

You can buy these at advance for 20 bucks. They've worked on Honda, Toyota and Subaru springs and should work for any other spring on shock design. The spring compressor you show under Advance is for trucks with inboard springs.

Also, if you have lowering springs, you might not even need a spring compressor.

FWIW, the compressors that I have are the ones in the pics from andy and DJ. I have used them personally for several of my own suspension installs & repairs, as well as loaned them out for a bunch of swaps, and have never had a single complaint with them.
Buy that set, it's $20 well invested for never having to worry about borrowing/renting a set and there has yet to been a car that I haven't seen them work on.

SO i broke down and took it to a shop, mostly because I don't really wanna mess with it, in front of Pheasant Run Parking lot and because I need my car this weekend and Don't have time to work on it during the week.
Cost me 185 bucks in labor for just the front 2, yeah my ass hurts...

Cheapest I found, without going to one of the more "Mexican" shops. All the chain places (Midas, etc..) wanted 252.
The Struts only cost 160 brand new.

Going to be paying another 175 in Labor for the rear motor mount that I need to get replaced really soon.

I have an Oil Leak now, from someplace, its dripping off the trany, which I don't quite understand, I just hope its not a cracked Trany housing, I did bottom out a couple of times. Rear Main Seal, Dizzy, and Valve Cover Gasket have all been replaced recently. Oil level is fine after sitting a week.
I just hope its not the trany...

does it drip all the time or mostly after you drive it? my old audi blew a rear main seal twice in 10k miles and it was always worse after i drove it, it would drip about 10-20 drops and then stop once it cooled off. i'm pretty sure if you run your oil higher than normal on a regular basis you're gonna see it happen more often too from higher crankcase pressures.

never heard of a tranny case just cracking? is that a honda thing? i would think you'd definitely see the crack if it was.

Christ man, you probably could have gotten somebody here on the forum to do all 4 for that price and had it done last week.
