Does anyone in MM have enough GENERAL 5-speed knowledge to help me re-assemble my transmission for the Daytona? I have factory service manuals, all the parts, all the tools, and beer. I just do not have enough general knowledge about how manual transmissions fit together to tackle this on my own and I cannot find anyone with enough time to really help me do it. Can MM help me out?

Call RJ.
1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442
RJ will then tell you to take that shit apart and then criticize your shit cause it's not as nice as a Honda's trans. As me how I know.
Jeff,
I'm rebuilding my trans right now and it's not that complicated especially if you have a service manual. Just use a dowel so your gearset order is thrown off.
Two feet.
These transmissions are actually pretty well designed. They were built by Getrag. I have had a bunch of TD people tell me to man up and throw it together myself....might just try it next week.

it really isn't all that complicated. take it apart, don't lose anything and put it back together the way the manual says.
its already apart....but I guess just RTFM is in order.
