The Vette is the only car I can name where the manual costs MORE (except the RX8, but the auto is down 35+hp) john

Looks nice Thayer. I know its auto, but your mom doesn't want manual, and well its her car! Are the auto's really down 35 hp?

It's just the RX8 where the auto is listed as being slower, AFAIK

Auto in the vette is still fun because it has several different settings. You can set it in performance driving mode and it raises the shift-points or set it in cruise mode and it shifts lower for gas mileage. It still has more than enough power to break the tires loose at anything under like 30mph on dry pavement, so its still fun.
