Mazda is upping it's contingency as well as establishing a progression stream that would allow championship caliber club racers to move up to the professional ranks e.g. scca runoff champs->shootout->MX-5 Cup->Speed World Challenge.

That's really cool. It's awesome that Speed World Challenge can finally be attainable for some folks.

Its attainable for anyone with a checkbook, just like any other race series here. There's very few paid racecar drivers.

 to Mazda for supporting club racing Smile

no, i know you're not kidding, but i'm referring to mazda's contingency program. i dont think they're gonna go out and move people up the ranks because they finish middle pack.

Not the point he was making. By giving a scholarship it will be attainable for people who couldn't have bought a ride.

I've gotta say Mazda has the best enthusiast marketing strategy of any of the manufacturers. They've got a strong, sporty lineup, they put on events for customers, and they've got the best program around in club racing. Now all they have to do is bring back the RX-7.
