XBOX Help

So I turned my Xbox on last night so I could put a whooping to Jerry in COD3 as I left the room for a frosty beverage I heard a "pop" sound and noticed my living room gradually filling with smoke. The green light is now orange (which I'm guessing is the same as the Red Light of Death on Xbox 360s). I've pretty much written off the xbox (best $30 I've spent in a while) But COD3 is from Gamefly and i would like to send that back to them.

Any clues on how I can get it open, besides a 5lb. sledgehammer?

If it's fried just use a screwdriver to take it apart or pry open the drive.
