Well, it's official, the XR is off to the tuners! Sean and I trailered it to Fredericksburg this past Friday. The guy is stoked about working on it, which is certainly encouraging. He's a "world class ASE Tech" for whatever that's worth - but more importantly, he's worked on literally hundreds of XR's and has a great rep on every board I'm on that's XR related. Once he gets it together and gets it pretty tuned, I'm going to drive it to break it in, then take it back and we'll put it on the dyno and squeeze every last HP out of that 2.3 that we can. I'm looking at roughly 4 weeks until I can pick it up, basically because he's slow and I don't want to rush him. It'll be worth the wait though, I can't wait to have it running. So, for those of you that care, there's the status on my project, and for those of you that don't, o well. I hope it's all I'm dreaming it will be!
