Riding and JMU
#1
Simple question  . I was wondering if those of you who have bikes at school ride to school w/o a pass? If so, are there any repurcussions? The same with riding arround the apartment complexes...If I ride to another complex besides where I live do I have to worry about my bike like I would about my car (being towed). Just curious, as Id love to be able to ride to school and arround here without buying a pass etc

A little less than a month ago

I actually meant to make a post about it with pictures etc, but I didnt have time to before I went down to school, and just havn't got arround to it since.

96 FZR 600
7k miles
Was in fantastic condition before I went down going arround a slow turn from a stop sign. Just didnt turn it enough and then focused on the curb instead of looking where I wanted to go. Anyway, long story short, instinct kicked in and I started to brake w/o straightening it up, and went down. Scratched it up on one side, but nothing bad since I was going so slow. Fixed that up (happened the first day I had it ), and have been riding for about the last 2 weeks once I finally got it down to JMU. Only put about 300 miles on it though since the weather's been horrible here the last week or so =-(

Didnt you sell all of your gear? I thought you had decided on not buying a bike at this point.

Yes and no. I had decided that, but eventually stuff got worked out so that I got it done. I only ended up selling my jacket/gloves, but the jacket was to big anyway so thats not a big deal. Went out and found a jacket on sale, and just picked up the same gloves.

when I was at JMU parking w/ appropriate stickers was an issue, on campus and off. I friend of mine had to his bike towed from ... crap.. the apartments past Fox Hills.

Apartment complexes will tow your bike if its not parked in front of a car (like they ask you to do at PRUN). As for campus, I'm not sure.

campus has rarely tows unless you're a safety hazard. they'll ticket the hell out of you tho, bike or car.
