So I am looking for a Wideband 02 device seeing as I am going to be using a more manual ÔÇÿtuningÔÇÖ method on the Daytona then I would like. I am going to build a dual stage manual boost controller (or that is the plan now) and using my AFPR for fuel pressure control. A modified OEM ECU will be controlling injector pulse and timing. I was just wondering if anyone in MM has seen a MBC and Wideband in one unit? If so who makes it and where can I find it? That is the only way that I would buy a MBC seeing as they are so easy to make. If not, who makes the best (for the money, cheap) Wideband? I have been looking at the PLX M-300 but I donÔÇÖt want to drop $300.

Between 2 and 300 dollars is going rate for a decent wideband. A great deal of the cost is associated with the sensor itself.

I wonder if I can pick a sensor up from like Car Quest or something (I think most BMW stock sensors are wideband) and just buy a PLX controller w/o sensor?

You can do that, if you get the correct sensor, but Bosch has got the market by the short and curlies and I know at least at AAP, we couldn't ever get them in stock.
Plus, you don't save a whole lot of money that way, because the sensor is (needlessly) expensive.

The only thing you would need is the cheap 1 wire o2 sensor for the wide band. Shouldn't need the heated one. Don't think I have ever seen a wideband boost controller in one. Mbc are are usually a bleeder valve which you could just mount under the hood.

Wrong, I'm very sorry. "Cheap 1 wire o2 sensor"s are narrowband, and so won't work for a wideband o2, because the band is too narrow, hence, wideband versus narrowband.
But you're right on the money with the boost controller thing. I think Jeff might have meant "ebc" instead of "mbc". As in, a wideband o2 and electronic boost controller in one unit. (A good idea!)
