So assuming you have a full cage, what's worse? Rolling over after scrubbing some speed or going what would likely be almost full tilt into the tire wall? I've seen a lot of cars go straight into the gravel traps and not slow down. I've also never known someone to get seriously injured in a rollover whereas most injuries are from spearing something hard.

Especially in such a small car like a Miata. If you don't wear a Hans-like device, I'd think you're in greater danger by a head-on impact.

so the rollover is lowspeed but the impact is not.... good comparison. :roll:
but considering my car doesnt hit 120 to begin with, even with total brake failure im not going to be anywhere near 120 when I hit the tire padded wall. downshifting + runoff area and ill be going around 60 max. less if the gravel/sand catches me. (and probably not hit it at all then)
put it this way. id rather loose my brakes and go straight off into the wall in T1 at summit than roll it coming out of t10.
Considering you don't really get a choice, you should all zip back up and stop crossing streams.
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.
