Obviously, I had a ticket not to long ago. I went to court with a lawyer and everything worked out great... well better than i expected after watching that judge operate. But i have a few comments...

Because I plead to a lesser charge... much lesser... my fine was higher, much higher, than what was imposed to other people convicted of my original charge. Well thats the only difference i can think of. The judge asked what the charge was, what the new charge would be... and bam... he issues the fine at his discretion.

After i got my ticket, I started to pay attention. A state trooper pulled me over, and living on I95, they are generally the ones you will see... In the month between recieving my ticket and going to court... state troopers passed at least 5 stranded cars on the highway... with people still in them... or outside of them trying to fix it. They didnt offer to put flares up, or keep the lights on behind the car until the tire was fixed... and in one case, there is a car stuck up hill with a front tire down, just on the other side of a blind corner... the trooper just drove right by.

Its my humble opinion that State Troopers shouldnt be considered police officers... they should be considered agents for the IRS. They are here to protect and serve... pulling someone over for doing 75mph on a road where everyone else is doing 70mph.... and writting the ticket for reckless... NOT helping stranded people... and always looking for the ticket... thats taxation.

my utter disgust of law enforcement grows with every breath i take.....

which is sad, because the majority of cops aren't that bad, it's those power hungry adrenalin dickheads that screw it up for the rest of them
