NASCAR races are a lot of fun. Its more of a party than an actually motorsports event in a lot of ways. Anyway,when Toyota Entered truck acing their first head design created around 60 hp more than any other engine. as far as R&D it comes down to cylinder heads and valvetrain. Dodge and Toyota have really new blocks,so they raise the cam in relationship to the crank,and car shorten the pushrods,which makes for a stronger valvetrain. The technology doesn't move fast,but since it is limited so much,a little advantage becomes a huge advantage.
