WTB: Wheels
#1
I'm looking to buy some 5x100 wheels for my 98 Neon. I'm looking for them to be around the Harrisonburg, VA area or in driving distance. post if you have anything to offer and I'll let you know if I'm interested.

Would stockWRX wheels fit your car? They are 5x100. I have a set just sitting around.

Subaru center bore: 56.1mm
Neon Center bore: 57.1mm

So you'll need a 1mm hub adapter (easy, just call tire rack) and the offset might be a *little* high, (Subaru's have dramatically high wheel offsets) but you're probably OK.

They wont fit unless you machine the wheels -

As long as the hub bore is larger than the hub you're trying to put the wheels on, they'll fit - I dont believe in hubcentric rings anyways.

I can probably bore it out with a dremble or a drill. I did that for my Escort wheels that I put on my father in law's Saturn.

not a good idea. that process is meant for machinists. because of wheel balance and potential safety hazards there are a few people in the 'burg that stopped doing this for people because of the risks.

the WRX wheels will not fit the car right. they likely have a 48mm offset where as a Neon (Daytona, Omni, or any other FWD chrysler) gets between a 35-40mm. I have a few different sets of 5X100 wheels that will fit your car. They are all OEM from oldschool FWD mopar and could be a cool look...IM me or somethin.
