Evo3's didn't come out before Evo2's. There are only a few (read: 1 or 2) genuine Evo3's in the US. For the cost it takes to import one, you can have a built up M3 that would hand an E3 it's ass. Evo2's were 2.3L 215hp also.
You can get stroker kits at a lot of places, but in general, to have a 2.5L built up right, it'll run $10k+. It won't necessarily have all the cool E3 parts like oil squirters, but there are 250+ whp versions stateside.
