Can someone help me install this head unit. The previous owner has a Pioneer, PH-7200. It's pretty fancy looking except the fwd skip button is broken. So I bought a pioneer deh-4700 to replace it but the plugs don't match up. I thought the plug sizes were standard within a brand. I would prefer to just buy an adapter plug instead having to rewire stuff.

Order the plug from crutchfield, should come with instructions

crutchfield should have a harness which will plug into the back of the head unit and plug into the stock Toyota wire harness. However, if previous owner hacked up Toyota harness, you're shit outta luck.
He has an aftermarket radio already so im assuming they ripped it apart, otherwiser I would suggest going to anywhere like circuit city get the toyota metra harness and then a pioneer smart harness...together like 5 bucks and it all plugs in together, no wiring at all. Whatf we do at circuit city to make installs 5x faster.

I already have Pioneer, so I bought another pioneer thinking it would be plug and play but Pioneer apparently changed their plug design. Thank god the wire colors still match. The new harness just has to be soldered to the old wires.
