WTB: non-skid tape

i was going to buy a roll from summit but all i need it for is to cover my brake/gas pedal....so buying a 10 foot roll is kinda pointless.

i know it's sort of random, but i figured that maybe some of you guys got some for your car and have some left over. if you wanna send me some, i'll gladly pay shipping and whatever you want for it.

actually, anybody want to go in two or three ways for a 10 ft. roll? or are there other places you can buy this sort of thing from (that's cheaper)?

i actually have all of it left, i never used it since i decided to sell the civic.

How much do you guys need? I can just ship it if it's only a small amount.

How much you got? I was thinking I'd put a square of some sort of non-skid surface on the footwell of my integra....

Any idea if its flammable or not? I'd have to test that, of course.

#1: You can buy grip "skater tape" from lowes, home depot, or Advance. (Where I got mine) It's normally in with safety equipment, as they put it on ladders and such for additional traction.

#2: Tape seems like a clumsy solution to a slippery bare-metal floorboard. May I reccomend some rattle-can truck bed liner? It's about 6 bucks a can over at AAP, and makes a roughish surface that ought to stand up to more abuse than tape. (And yes, flame retardant).

oh lord, don't waste your money on any specialty crap, get Shorty's black magic grip tape from your local skate shop. Black magic lasted the longest out of any grip tape when i skated and its only like 7 bucks a sheet, it had the most grip too. One sheet of grip tape would probably cover 3 or so cars pedals.

$7 tape vs $6 spray?

they're talking about the floor boards for their race cars i believe as well as pedals. I'm thinking the spray can would be best, anyone trying to test it out on their pedals?

I still remember seeing that old school golf that had the entire exterior painted with that truck bed stuff...awesome

I wouldnt use the spray version..coat it on thick with a brush.

well....i went and ordered some OMP 1030 pedals tonight (late night decision making, wheeee) so i'll be stopping by the local skate shop sometime this week to snag some Shorty's grip tape...i did some researching and like Jordan said, it's some good shizzle.

even the smallest quantity is still more than i'll ever need, so i'll start divying some of it up if any of you are interested. all i ask for is a buck on top of shipping cost, whatever that is.

how much of this shorty tape do you get for $7? Is one sheet enough to cover the pedal floorboard area?
HRPWorld.com has stuff for $6.50 per sq foot, and Im wondering if I should just go with a couple feet of that

sorry Evan, i never did get any of that grip tape. i found that the pedals i got were an unfinished rough aluminum that grips well as-is...unlike how they looked in the pictures online.
