I agree with evan... they look like intermediate level 'riders' in the way that intermediate level drivers are on track - fast enough to be having fun and moving along at a good pace, but inconsisent and a little jerky and the rear shot shows the following rider's vision is down.

Im not trying to "hate", its just good to know the skill level of the people you are watching for educational purposes. Im sure it takes some skill to lean the bike and shift your weight like that.
I guess they could pass off as intermediate riders, but they weren't exactly impressive.
The intermediates I rode with were running a tick or two off amateur race laptimes. They had good throttle control and seemed to get the hang of the basic principles, but itn's not out of the ordinary to see that thing in novice group...

My cousin in law rode an EX500 at Summit, Road Atlanta and other tracks. I guess he was amateur status(WCS Racing). Got out when he starting having kids.

I sure hope he got something out of that...
the last guy I knew that had to get out because of his family was racing 250GP bikes - after a big highside his wife said enough was enough.... so she let him take out an 85 grand loan for Porsche.
But I'd still rather race.

I know just about nothing about tracking a bike also, and that's the first thing I thought. Looks like they're on a fast mountain cruise. Their corner speeds make me think one of us in a car would have no problem keeping up. And if we couldn't... just push 'em out the way.
