Best sci-fi I've seen in a long damn time. It's based on the short-lived TV series Firefly (which was killed by Fox after less than a full season). Check it out, you'll thank me later

I really enjoyed it, but from what I've heard from friends if you watch the episodes of Firefly beforehand (they're out on DVD) the movie is so much more enjoyable.
